Prof. Ivan V. Kozhevnikov

Professor of Chemistry at the University of Liverpool

Ivan Kozhevnikov graduated from Novosibirsk University, Russia, in 1969. He obtained his PhD (1972) and DSc (1984), working in Boreskov Institute of Catalysis, Novosibirsk. He then worked through the ranks in this institute to become head of laboratory and Professor of Kinetics and Catalysis. He held visiting positions at Lund University (Sweden), Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands) and Lille University of Science and Technology (France). In 1996 he joined the University of Liverpool.

Prof. Ivan V. Kozhevnikov is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Liverpool and an internationally recognized expert in polyoxometalate and heterogeneous catalysis. His research focuses on solid acid catalysis, selective oxidation, multifunctional catalysis, ionic-liquid reactions, and catalytic conversion of renewable feedstocks into value-added chemicals, with broad applications in sustainable chemistry and energy.
