Dr. Mohammed Salah Ahmed Abdelbassit is a CCU Laboratory alumnus who completed his M.S. in Chemistry at KFUPM in May 2014. His master’s research investigated the adsorption of chloromethanes from water using activated carbon and metal-oxide nanoparticles, contributing to advanced materials for environmental remediation. He subsequently earned his Ph.D. in New Zealand and is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Auckland, with research interests in solid-state inorganic chemistry, crystallography, unconventional oxidation states, and functional crystalline materials.
